Funding

Taping For The Blind, Inc. is an independent 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization founded in 1967 to TURN SIGHT INTO SOUND.

More than 200 volunteers and a small staff of six provide current, in-depth news, textbooks, novels, magazines, and other productions for Taping For The Blind listeners. Our state-of-the-art digital studios enable us to offer top quality custom recording, programming for free specially tuned radio receivers to those clients who live in our broadcast area, and programming on the internet.

We Can't Do It Without Your Help

Contributions from foundations, corporations and people like you have made it possible for Taping For The Blind to continue its services free-of-charge to print handicapped clients. Contributions are appreciated and are tax-deductible. Fully 94% of your gift to Taping For The Blind will go to cover programs and services – not funding expenses.

To support our efforts to Turn Sight Into Sound, you can make a financial contribution of any amount to:

Give Now

If you prefer, you can make a donation right here from the website. Taping has partnered with the nonprofit Local Independent Charities (LIC) to offer you an easy, secure method of donating on line. The donation goes right onto the credit card you specify. The name that appears on your credit card statement is LOC IND CH ORG, not Taping For The Blind. Using a nonprofit third-party like LIC to process online donations helps Taping keep our costs low and lets us spend more time and money serving our community.

Your contributions are tax-deductible, and we will acknowledge your generosity with a letter. You may also look us up in Guidestar to see more details of our funding and how we use it.

In Memory

If you'd prefer, we can send you a Gift Envelope so you can make contributions in honor or in memory of someone special. Please give us a call at 713-622-2767, get in touch by letter, or e-mail us.
